THE STORY OF OUR WINERY, BOTTLE BY BOTTLE

Juhász Testvérek Winery is a second-generation, family-owned winery in the Eger Wine Region. Founded in 1996 on just 1.5 hectares, our estate has grown to become one of the leading wineries not only in Eger but across Hungary, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and internationally award-winning wines.

A major milestone came in 2002: we planted nearly 10 hectares of vineyards, including the now-famous Paptag site, and built our modern winery on the gentle slopes of Kőlyuktető in Eger.

The launch of Juhász Rosé in 2010 marked another turning point: it achieved nationwide success and helped establish our reputation as a producer of vibrant yet refined wines. In 2018, we opened our modern winery center in Egerszalók, equipped with one of Central Europe’s most advanced technologies, designed to preserve the character and purity of our wines.

Our wines are made from sustainably farmed grapes across 350 hectares, celebrated for their clarity, precision, and unique varietal character, earning recognition from wine enthusiasts and experts worldwide.

OUR ESTATE WINES
Light, fruity, medium-bodied wines perfect for everyday enjoyment. They are presented in Bordeaux bottles, with round labels and screw caps, making them accessible and enjoyable for any occasion.

OUR PREMIUM WINES
These wines are crafted with a fuller body and a more pronounced character. Presented in Burgundy bottles, sealed with a cork, and adorned with elegant rectangular labels.

SECOND GENERATION

Ádám Juhász
Owner & Winemaker

In 2018, Ádám Juhász, representing the second generation, took over the leadership of the family winery as both winemaker and managing director. Ádám is dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality, combining respect for heritage with a commitment to innovation. Drawing on his international experience and studies, he continues to shape the story of the winery—bottle by bottle.

He holds a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Horticulture. His professional training included a practical internship at Yealands Estate in New Zealand. He completed his master’s studies through the Vinifera Euromaster program at Montpellier SupAgro, Bordeaux Sciences Agro, Hochschule Geisenheim University, and Stellenbosch University. During his master’s research, he focused on the aromatic composition of Sauvignon Blanc wines and ways to positively influence it through various viticultural and winemaking techniques.

Ádám returned to Hungary in 2015 to join the family winery. Since 2018 he has been the head of the estate and, from 2020, its owner. Over the past nine years, his wines have won numerous national and international awards, and his Juhász Rosé has become a market-leading wine in its category.
